Rolex received US patent 12,259,688 B2 in March 2025 for a space-saving mechanism controlling separate date indicators, with priority dating to May 2020. Further filings concern a compact instantaneous calendar in 2025 and a 2026 solution making adjacent discs appear almost continuous. These patents protect technical solutions rather than announce a production watch.
Fears’ Brunswick 39 Perpetual Calendar costs £26,950 and has a steel case measuring 39 × 45.4 × 10.1mm. Its frosted silver-mink dial displays calendar indications and moonphase. An automatic Sellita SW300 with a bespoke Dubois Depraz module runs at 4Hz with a 47-hour power reserve, hand-finished bevels and an engraved 18k gold rotor.
