Watchmakers pursue demanding technical goals, including ultra-thin construction, complex mechanisms, extensive skeletonization and transparent movements. Those ambitions also include power reserves that extend far beyond practical needs.
The GPHG Academy selected 84 watches across 14 categories from 320 entries submitted by 194 watchmakers for the awards’ 26th edition. Winners of 19 prizes, including the Aiguille d’Or, will be announced in Geneva on November 7, 2026. Academy voting will determine one-third of the final result, with the remainder decided by a jury chaired by Wei Koh.
