BUNZ introduced the Moontime in 1993 with a spherical moon-phase display, described as the first of its kind in a wristwatch. Later known as the Moontime 1, it features a pebble-shaped, two-tone case, unusual lugs and a diamond at 12 o’clock. The Pforzheim company was founded by jewellery designer Georg Bunz.
