Universal Genève’s history from its 1894 founding to Breitling ownership
Universal Genève began as Universal Watch in Le Locle in 1894, founded by Numa Descombes and Ulysse Perret. Its early milestones included a patent for a 24-hour jumping-hour watch, a Geneva boutique in 1919 and the automatic Auto Rem calibre in 1925.
